Lets see... what were we up to in this span of 1 month?...

Oh yes, we went to the Times Bookshop fair! Got to know of this bookfair from my SIL & Ant.. and according to reliable sources, the books are going at $5 per book!

Since I am keen to replenish more books on Ariel's near-empty bookshelf, and also to increase her interest in reading, we decided to get some books for her from the fair. Only minus point is, the bookfair is held at quite a deserted place.. specifically speaking, AMK Industrial Park 1...

Anyway, after spending 2 hours there, these are what we got for our darling girl..(inclusive of 1 book for our #2! hahah~)

Next up, the Dumpling Festival aka Duan Wu Jie.

As usual, my MIL will wrap dumplings for Duan Wu Jie, the only difference is... instead of wrapping the usual pork fillings, she has opted for chicken fillings this year! Know why? Cos scared of the swine flu lor.. -__-"

But nonetheless, still taste delicious.. which is most important. Heh~

And she has thoughtfully wrapped a small dumpling specially for Ariel.

This month's 'highlight' for us is really more on our frequent house-hunting.. Probably because of the recent dip in property prices (Afternote: it has went up again sigh~), this seemed to be the right time to look at private properties no?

So far, we have been to the showflats of Rosewood Suite, The Waterfront, Lakeshore & The Caspian and the Peak @ TPY.

My personal favourite is still The Caspian. Reason being we really love the furnishings as compared to the others.. and very importantly, it is very near my Primary school.. easy entry for Ariel into Primary 1 in future since I'm an Old Girl.. and should we purchase The Caspian, it will be within 1 km from the school.. no need to go through the hassles of voluntary work..

Ant keeps telling me this will be an investment.. BUT.. to me (call me an investment-idiot) i still feel it is very pricey.. so decided to think it over 1st.. don't want this to be an impulsive buy and regret it thereafter...

Our preferred unit is still open for sale.. so tempting.. but uh uh.. gotta wait first..

My dear father won some money again.. so... he is in one of his shopping sprees mood AGAIN..

Frankly, I am very worried over my father's habitual spendings.. not that we are super rich or anything, but looking at the way he splurges on luxurious items (at least they are considered luxurious to me), I can't help but feel it is abit overboard..

And because I am his only daughter, I tend to get all the 'good perks'.. which sometimes, strangely speaking, its against my wishes when he buys me things..

AND, because I am preggy again, this pretty much gives him enough reason to buy more things for me and my unborn child..

Not only did he give me cold hard cash, he also bought many things for me, Ariel and our #2..

Amongst which, these are SOME of the things he bought... not that I am ungrateful, but it is really not necessary.. i would rather he save up the money for his retirement fund!

A pendant for me

My father keep asking me what can he buy for Ariel.. so in the end i relented and said "a toy" and i promptly pick this up before he buys other toys for her.. teehee~

An ironing board for Ariel.. and she loves it!

I heard, he bought another recliner chair.. and it cost more than an OSIM massage chair lor.. my mother had a row with him because of that.. but what can I say? Its his money afterall.. sigh~

Now i know where I got my spendthrift nature from.. =X

Boss is going on 1 week's leave.. its either going to be a breeze for me, or.. hell..... :S

I really doubt my contract will be extended or converted to a permanent position. It may not be a bad thing for me.. since I am not really that happy working there now.. but just the thought of being income-less sians the hell outta me..

Went for my detailed scan on 20 June 2009.. and it is confirmed we are having a boy! :)

Throughout the scan, my baby was moving non-stop and the sonographer commented that she knows this baby will be boy even before she scanned the genitals because he is just too active! hahah~

Seemed that my baby likes to play games cos he keeps facing downwards which caused abit of a hassle for the sonographer to get the details that she wants.. so she had to poke my baby and ask him to be 'guai guai' if not she is going to spank his bottom! hahah... Luckily my baby cooperated after that.. :p

We could even see him yawning during the scan! So cute!

We brought Ariel in to 'see' baby too.. but I don't think she understands what's going on.. keke~

Received a call from Ariel's school on Saturday, informing us that there is a HFMD case and many on-going stomach flu cases going on (18 for now!), hence the teacher advised us to keep Ariel away from school on Monday.. thank God my SIL agreed to help us take care of Ariel on Monday.. thankew sis!

I may also need to take leave on Tuesday though.. better to keep her away from school for this period..

Ariel has a weird habit now.. she simply lovessss to 'eat' the hair on my arms... As some of you know, I am a very hairy person, and my little girl seems to have an obsession over eating (feels more like tickling) my arm hair! God knows why she likes to 'eat' me.. In fact, she is 'eating' me at this very moment I am typing this.... -__-"

"I am not a food, Ariel!!"
